I loved being able to see the different planes being put together.

What an engineering feat! The tour is really informative and kept my son engaged the whole time.
It is a 90 minute tour and includes a little walking and various displays.
The highlight for sure, was just being able to see the planes and plane parts in various stages.

It is north of seattle, so you will want to plan for a half day excursion if you are coming from seattle (don’t forget about traffice). Also after the tour, there is a nice musuem display that we spent about 45 minutes exploring before our growling tummies said it was time to eat.

Jul 2021 This museum and Museum of Flight in south of Seattle near Seattle – Tacoma International Airport compliments each other well. This one focus on future with more interactive “game like” exhibits where as Museum of Flights focus on the past and present with traditional “read the displays” museum experience.

If you have time, highly recommend to visit both. Museum of Flight is larger and bigger with multiple themes. Even though Boeing’s Future of Flight is smaller in museum size, what makes this museum so special and unique are: 1. Where the Boeing Facility tour begins – currently being suspended due to COVID.2.

The Sky Deck gets a great spectacular panoramic view of mountains surrounding the Seattle area, and the world’s largest building from distance.
If you are lucky, you may also see planes taking off and landing.3.
The interactive exhibits are fun to try.4.

Downtown/City of Everett is 10 minutes away and worth visiting with a nice downtown and seaport There are lockers and a cafe on the first floor.

Good for all ages to spend half to a day there. If you plan to go through everything thoroughly without rushing, budget at least 5 hours. GazPerth Duncraig, Australia 121 contributions Jan 2020 Its important to know that when visiting the Future of Flight, all you’re really doing is walking into a couple of huge hangers.
Unlike say the Ford F150 assembly line in Dearborne, you wont see much action here.

But the size of the place is something to behold and just seeing 747’s and 787’s in various states of build, is amazing. Our Tour Guide was very informative and the 90 minutes went very fast. Note you cant take photos inside, so no happy snaps of a great experience I’m afraid.

Jun 2022 I’m sure this was amazing pre-COVID but spending $80 for a family of 4 to watch a very boring 60 minute video mostly about the history of Boeing was not worth it.

We weren’t really interested in the history of the directors of Boeing, really wanted to see more about the engines and aircraft.

The displays were not interesting for us, maybe for students but not for us. We think the tickets at $16 each was too expensive and will not recommend to anyone, especially considering how far we had to drive. At the present time there is no factory tour but they are hoping to resume factory tours in Apr 2023. The exhibits in the museum portion are interesting but I was expecting more from it.

The best part was the theater experience where a man who is clearly bearded and jolly clearly loves to tell the story of Boeing. He does a great job and was exceptionally welcoming and cordial the whole time. I was told he was a fixture of Boeing and decides what jobs he wants.

He’s very knowledgeable.
The video presentation in the theater about the history of Boeing was very interesting and worth it by itself.
This would be worth it more if you actually had a factory tour.

Not sure why it was discontinued but disappointed it wasn’t resumed as yet.
It feels too pricey without that tour.

If you are expecting anything interesting here you will be disappointed.
Seriously.
Take my advice and do something else – very little to see here.

They should not charge money for this at all.

Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. Aug 2019 I, myself, have visited the Boeing Assembly Plant in Everett, WA, twice. And it was just as fun, interesting, and enjoyable each time. I mean, where else in the country can you see jumbo jets being built? The facility, just north of Seattle, is a city within itself.

The plant houses planes in various stages of assembly, a full runway, restaurant, hospital, fire house, sleeping quarters, fitness center, movie theater, museum, gift shop, etc. The one hour tour explains how the plant itself is designed and you can watch 747’s and 787’s being built by factory workers in real time.

It is fascinating! I have sent many friends and family members who visited Seattle to the Boeing plant and they all thanked me for suggesting such an amazing activity. Tattoos have gone nearly mainstream these days, which is putting employers in a bind: How do you write rules that won’t alienate some. LOS ANGELES — Last year Justin Miloro had to wear long sleeves to conceal the Buddha curling around his left forearm and the yellow-orange sun rays on his right.

Pants covered the depiction of earth on one leg and wings on the other. The sun spreading across his back was under wraps. The plugs in his earlobes were obscured by bandages. “I thought it was really silly,” Miloro recalled, “worse than seeing the tattoos.” This year he has nothing to hide — even though the 32-year-old worked last year for Whole Foods Market in Boston, where he was a sales clerk and now works as a manager for the same company in Los Angeles, overseeing health and beauty-products departments at 25 stores.

The chain has looser dress and grooming standards in some parts of the country than others. Setting degrees of tattoo taboos is how Whole Foods handles the increasing attraction to — though definitely not universal acceptance of — body art. Once associated with drunken sailors, felons and Hells Angels, tattoos have gone nearly mainstream, putting employers in a bind: How to write rules that won’t alienate some customers on the one hand or eliminate talented workers on the other? A pink rose discreetly inked on an ankle might pass muster at a hospital but not a day-care center; an eyebrow stud will be viewed as charming at one store and a blemish at another.

In many cases, grooming policies are being set by members of a generation known for letting it all hang out.
The baby boomers had hair out to the ceiling, cut jeans, ripped clothes that they washed sometimes,” said Mark Mehler, co-founder of CareerXroads, a New Jersey recruiting and consulting company.

And now boomers are passing judgment on nose rings. The irony isn’t lost on Fred Saunders, president and founder of FSPS, which stages concerts and productions for companies including Nintendo and Walt Disney Co. Some of them demand clean-cut crews: trimmed sideburns, long hair pulled into ponytails, no detectable tattoos.

Of course, Saunders, 57, doesn’t often take his shirt off during contract negotiations: On his back is a tattoo tableau featuring a samurai warrior skirmishing with a dragon. “There’s a shock value to the art,” he acknowledged, and some people get a “negative vibe.” Almost half of all Americans between 21 and 32 have at least one tattoo or a piercing other than in an ear, according to a 2006 study by the University of Chicago and Northwestern University.

Poll results Men and women alike say their tattoos make them feel sexy and rebellious, a 2003 Harris Poll found, while the unadorned of both genders see body art as unsightly and think those with tattoos and piercings are less intelligent and less attractive.

Just 10 years ago, he said, only 5 percent of the staff had tattoos, and this summer it’s close to 20 percent. Beitner’s solution: the is-it-offensive test, applied on a case-by-case basis. “A butterfly is not such a big deal,” he said, but a skull and crossbones with blood dripping out of the eye sockets would be a problem.

And sometimes Beitner asks staffers to remove belly rings or tongue studs when they’re at work.
