Do Motability put trackers on cars?

These are one of the ways we make sure our vehicles are being used for the benefit of our customers. We cover up to three named drivers, but whoever is driving the vehicle, you should always use it for the benefit of the disabled customer. To make sure this happens, we might fit a location tracker. This could be in situations like:

If the customer permanently lives in a care home and several drivers have access to the vehicle If none of the named drivers live at the customer’s address

The only data we collect from these trackers is about the vehicle’s location, and we only use this if we think a vehicle might be being misused. If we decide you need a location tracker, we’ll always speak to you first. Learn how you can and cannot use your vehicle Learn about adding drivers
